Umbrella Insurance

With the costs of medical care continuing to rise at unprecedented rates, it’s not hard to imagine a major accident costing hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. An umbrella insurance policy can help protect you from large liability judgments for a relatively low cost.

What Is Umbrella Insurance?

Umbrella insurance works in conjunction with your other insurance policies, like home and auto insurance. Umbrella policy coverage begins where your underlying policy coverage ends. If you are liable for $750,000 in damages and your auto policy limit is $500,000, your umbrella will kick in to pay the additional $250,000 owed. Umbrella limits can range from $1M up to $10M or more.
